Marcelo Schmittner Daza, composer & sound designer, born in Chile in 1991 currently based in Berlin. He works as a sound artist in theatre/performance collectives, dance companies and as a solo artist. His work looks for making visible Struggles (personal/from others'), to be Clear & Loud, to be Active. Constantly researching in how to work with organic sounds, live recordings, DIY instruments and self-recorded sample libraries, questioning the approach of music production and collaboration with other artists. Politically presenting a clear position and constantly organizing events in where the mixed of discourse and quality-performance is the goal. Considering Theatre as an open door to the confrontation and contradictions of society and each of its participant's soul, as a ritual which should be performed with the state of mind and body
a ritual requires, every sound, every color, every movement, every word, every visual element is made/executed with a high level of consciousness, and power of decision.
